Quality HD-SDI scan converters with genlock typically cost thousands of dollars each and SDI audio embedders are often required. Costs balloon when stations require multiple units. Matrox Convert DVI is very inexpensive by comparison and allows system audio to be embedded in the SDI signal.

Matrox Convert DVI controls are provided via a simple PC-based user interface. By simply dragging a mouse, rather than fiddling with buttons on the unit itself, users can choose to output the entire screen or a region of interest of any size. Premium features such as a flicker reduction filter, an underscan mode, customizable presets with user assignable hotkeys, password protection, and a stand-alone mode ensure optimal flexibility for many different applications.

NewTek VT[5]™ v5.3 Update Available Now

NewTek TriCaster™ TCXD300 Update

NewTek is pleased to announce the availability of a free software update for TriCaster™ TCXD300. This update further enhances the performance and reliability of NewTek’s HD portable live production system.

If your TriCaster TCXD300 is network-connected, you can apply the update directly from the Home page of the Startup Screen. Simply click Utilities, then click the Update TriCaster link and follow the directions provided.

You may also login to your personal Registration Web page on the NewTek site at http://register.newtek.com from another machine, select and download the update from the Downloads page, and transfer it to TriCaster using a thumb-drive or other method. Then select the Exit to Windows option from TriCaster’s Shutdown menu, and run the installer manually. The installation includes a new device driver. Please agree to this in the dialog box which asks you for confirmation.

The TriCaster™ TCXD300 interface is set up much like the control room found in a live television truck. You have quick and easy access to virtual monitors and your live production tools, virtual sets, titling system, editing program, recording and streaming options and much more. 

 

 

1) LIVE PRODUCTION provides control of an entire multi-channel HD production. Connect up to three HD or standard definition (SD) cameras, digital or analog audio, and go live with simultaneous output to video, projector and the Web. 

2) LIVE VIRTUAL SETS in HD give you the flexibility of expansive, professional sets even though your location may have limited space. With live, multi-camera smooth zooming, show your talent in a network-style studio without the need for a camera operator or expensive motion control system. Matrox announced 4.2 drivers for Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder CS4 4.2 or later

Matrox Axio.utils version 4.2 and Matrox Mx.tools version 4.2 provide the following new features:

•Support for Microsoft Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate (64-bit).
•Support for Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder CS4 4.2 or later (earlier versions of Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder are not supported).
•The following improvements for working with Matrox sequences in Adobe Premiere Pro:
– Support for P2 spanned clips and P2 metadata.
– Improved performance for editing AVCHD and AVC-Intra clips.
– Improved playback performance of Adobe native effects and non-realtime clips.
– Overall playback and stability improvements.
